Meachem Elementary is an IB World School

Meachem Elementary School is proud to be an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) World School. As an IB World School, we share a commitment to developing inquisitive, knowledgeable, caring, and internationally minded students who are prepared to make a positive difference in their communities and beyond.

The IB Primary Years Programme provides a challenging and engaging educational framework that promotes inquiry, critical thinking, student agency, and a lifelong love of learning. Through the PYP, students develop the knowledge, skills, and attributes needed to thrive in an ever-changing world while taking meaningful action in their learning and community.

IB World Schools share a common philosophy: a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education that we believe is important for our students.

Student and Family Supports are Available!
The SCSD has many academic, social, emotional and mental health supports available to students. School social workers can help connect you and your child to in school and/or out of school supports that meet your needs. Please call us at (315) 435-4610 and ask to speak with a Social Worker for more information and assistance.

Meachem Elementary is a PAX School
PAX is a classroom-based universal preventive intervention implemented by educators to teach students self-regulation. PAX is not a set of lessons or a curriculum, but strategies teachers use throughout their normal school day to build students’ behavioral skills and stamina for focused attention and on-task behavior.
